Recently, we’ve had a few cases where someone tries to upload a photo or document that is over the 2mb limit. This post discusses this limit and options for optimizing your files to meet this requirement.

Message Center

The Message Center allows you to send an email to any other member.
Access the Message Center by clicking on the Access Message Center link in the tan area of either Site Administration or on your Personal Start Page in Members Only (if your site is configured with a members only area).

Create Message

  • Subject: This is a required field. You must enter a subject to send an email
  • Sender Name: Required field. If your name is not already in this field, enter it in the Sender Name field.
  • Sender Email: Required field. If your email address is not already in this field, enter it in the Sender Email field
  • Message Text:You may enter a plain text message in the text field, or, if you wish to ensure that your message is properly formatted, use the Create HTML Message link to open the text editor. In the text editor, you can add formatting, images, etc. For instructions on how to use the text editor, see our topic WYSIWYG Text Editor in our Help Forum
  • Recipients: Check off the names of the recipients for the message.

There are additional options for the Message Center, including sending to groups of members, setting future delivery dates and adding attachments. For instructions on how to use any of these features, see our Message Center Options post

In addition to just sending an email message to members, there are several other options. These options include creating a discussion from the original email, sending a delayed message, adding attachments, viewing your message history, and sending a message to a specific group of members.
